Tugu Tani Tragedy

Did you hear about Tugu Tani Tragedy? It is the popular news in Indonesia now. Tugu Tani Tragedy occured on Sunday, January 22nd 2012 at St.Ridwan Rais, Central Jakarta. A car B 2479 XI  hit a dozen people, so 9 people killed, and 3 people wounded. The police said that the driver, Afriyani Susanti was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Based on the result of  laboratory, their urine tested positive for methamphetamine. The chronology of event when the car speeding fastly (40-70 km/h) from the Hotel Borobudur monument in Lapangan Banteng to Tugu Tani. In front of the Gedung Kemendag, the vehicle swerved to the left and then crashed a pedestrian on the pavement and ravaged the bus stop in front of Gedung Kemendag. Afriyani Susanti declared as a suspect and the charges being prepared would carry jail sentences between 4-12 years.
